A very interesting specimen of Calcite from Charcas, Mexico, featuring a group of flat hexagonal crystals stacked into several eccentric columns that are interjoined to create the complex and beautiful formation pictured. The crystals are generally opaque but some exhibit clearer edges which reveal a bit of internal color zoning. Numerous good, self-standing display positions are possible.
